One thing to note about this four minute film is that half of it is the credits, but that’s the most interesting part. The film is 2d animation but made with Blender, a 3D animation program., using its “Grease Pencil” feature. During the credits, you can see how the 2D film you just saw was actually made using 3D elements. It seems like a backwards way of working but it’s very cool to imagine the possibilities. Seeing how the lighting and camera moves work is really interesting.

The brief plot of the film is interesting as a set-up, and the animation is very nicely done. The contributions of designer/animator Javier Salvador should be noted. Worth a watch, especially for animators.
